Palworld is a game that combines elements of a life simulator, action, collecting various monsters, building your base, improving production technology, and other aspects typical for survival games.

Several popular mechanics need to be carefully studied and understood to do everything correctly and without mistakes in the future. If you are new to Palworld, this guide will be useful for you. It will contain tips and recommendations that will help you get used to the game faster.

Where do we start?

The first thing we will have to face is the “Survival Guide”. It will help at the start of the game to understand and get oriented with what exactly you need to start to further explore the Palworld.

As the Palworld is full of highlands, it is most convenient to get a flying pal and a glider as soon as possible.

Sticks are your friends

The core mechanics of the game are built around catching sticks; you can catch sticks with the help of a stick sphere. Palas will act not only as companions in the exploration of the world but also as a labor force for the automation of the base and the work of machines at a later stage of the game.

By catching sticks, we will gain experience, but after 10 sticks of one individual, we will gain much less experience.

To catch sticks and increase the chance of catching them, it is best to try:

  • Decrease his health, for a better chance of catching pals.
  • Sneaking up behind the pal and throwing a pale sphere at his back will increase the chance of catching him.
  • Try to get closer before throwing, so that the pals don’t have time to dodge.
  • Use the best palspheres, which will be unlocked through the Technology menu.
  • Transfer the laimankook’s energy to the Statue of Power. This will increase the power to catch sticks, so keep an eye out for the glowing green things if possible.

Also while exploring you will come across eggs of different creatures, you can plant them in the incubator and get palas in the future.

To level up the pals, you need them to fight with you, but they will also level up when completing quests.

Eventually, you will unlock the Monument of Power, which will be useful for pumping both your character and the Palas. It’s worth pumping Palam workers – the speed of work, but the attackers attack power and only then Health and defense.

You can also crossbreed a male and a female – one of the ways to get the strongest Pals. The cub will inherit some of the abilities of its parents and will become much more powerful.

You can also catch NPCs and merchants, and when you catch a merchant, you can place him in a convenient place.

Treating Sticks

There are many times when your pal will get hurt or die. Sticks gradually regenerate health, but to speed up health regeneration you can feed your stick, you can create a small bag of food and the sticks will reach out to you when they get hungry.

If you die, you can resurrect your palas in the Palas Container, where they will be revived for 10 minutes.

Building a base

Building a base is done by placing a pal container where your palas will live and work.

A little guidance when choosing a location:

  • The base will be considered a fast travel point, so to increase mobility on the map, you can place the base further away from the nearest fast travel points.
  • Flat terrain will help in the future when expanding and convenient construction of large objects.
  • It is dangerous to build bases near World Bosses. They can react to you and attack your base by destroying objects and scattering the sticks.
  • Placing a base near natural resources will make it easier to mine them. All natural resources are revived periodically.

In the end, you are not limited in the choice of base, you can change it at any time, founding a new settlement.

At the beginning of the base will be able to work one pal, but by gradually arranging the objects you can increase the level of the base.

Raids

Once you have a base, you will begin to be periodically attacked by enemy factions. Before this happens, you will receive a warning shortly before the attack itself. There are several defenses that you can craft to strengthen the defenses of your base. These include sandbags and bear traps, although you won’t be able to get these items right away.

A great way to protect yourself is to replace worker pals, which are good in production but useless in combat, with creatures from the combat squad. This way, you can bypass the one-pal draft limit and protect your base with the best fighters.

Base Improvement

Palworld is a demanding game where you will need as many resources as possible. The buildings available to each player will require several hundred units of wood and stones. Other resources such as ore, fiber, and palladium are also needed.

Wood and stone are essential resources. Alas, the Pals only mine them near the base, so soon there will be nothing left there. To solve the material problem, unlock a sawmill and a stone quarry in the technology tree and then place them on your territory.

In Palworld, each pall has its strengths. Some know how to water a vegetable garden, but are incapable of roasting meat. Others specialize in mining stone but don’t carry it into storage. Still others are great at planting a vegetable garden. To provide all the key needs, you need to assemble a team from diverse fields. Only then the chests will always be filled with resources, and feeders with food.

Care of Palas

A good owner should take good care of their palas. It is important to provide them with beds, and food and keep their spirits high. If one is slacking off or suffering due to an injury, go over and pet him – this will strengthen the bond. If you miss a moment and a pala loses his mind, send him to the hot tub. Keep an eye on the pals and create a dedicated team that raises levels and unlocks new abilities.

Your captured palas can be given different equipment. Using the workbench, you can create unique equipment for each of the palas, thus increasing their characteristics. Once an outfit is created, it is automatically applied to the corresponding pal, opening up exciting possibilities, such as using Foxpark as a flamethrower or riding Rushoar.

Night Palworld

Palworld is best explored during the day, but sometimes you have to make nighttime forays. After sundown, special palas appear in the locations and are worth catching. While nighttime can be dangerous due to the cold and lack of light, there are advantages to spending time at night. Some sticks, including the powerful Deidrim and the valuable Grintal, can be found exclusively at night.

You can find out if a pall only appears at night (or, conversely, only during the day) once you’ve met one at least once and studied the pall table. Find the creature you want and click on the habitat tab, where you can switch between day and night habitats.

Although some palas appear around the clock, most are most active at certain times of day.

Towers in Palworld

Towers are combat challenges, there are only five of them, and they vary in difficulty. Each tower is home to formidable bosses. The harder it is to get to the tower, the more difficult the battle will be. To overcome all the obstacles, you need to stock up on excellent weapons, and strong falls and pump your character to a high level.

When you are ready, you can go to one of the towers to challenge the boss and fight him in a large round arena with your pals.
