The new game, developed by the publisher of Frostpunk and This War of Mine, promises to immerse players in the atmosphere of Poland in the early 20th century, where gifted people fight otherworldly creatures in a heated social tension. The setting of the future of Poland at that time became a real “powder keg” where Polish nationalists, pro-Russian and pro-German factions, Ukrainian nationalists, and trade unionists collided.
A bit of otherworldly mysticism is added to this raging world, creating a unique and unpredictable cocktail. This game promises to draw players into its dark and exciting world, where every decision can have significant consequences.
Explore everything: discover new things!
Hidden in The Thaumaturge’s vastness are many objects ready to share their secrets with you. Every time your gaze stops on a silver diamond, whether it’s a poster on the wall, a newspaper tabletop, or a forgotten note on the floor, don’t pass it by. Click on it. Because in this world, every letter, every thought, even the tiniest scrap of information turns into an experience. And every experience is a chance, an opportunity to discover new things.
Immerse yourself in them, and learn everything they can tell you because in return they give you not only valuable experience points but also lead to new adventures. Side quests, fascinating stories, or secrets of the city – each discovered fragment leads to new opportunities. And around every corner, there are more wonders to discover and experience.
Postpone progress when you have the opportunity
Every moment before crucial steps in a story is an opportunity to stop and look around. Why not use this chance to explore, learn more, and be prepared for any turn of events? Put aside the main business for a moment and immerse yourself in the world around you. Every detail and every conversation can be the key to discoveries.
Remember that every moment can be a single moment. Before entering into irreversible events, take the time to thoroughly research. Opportunities to gather information may be lost forever, and your decisions may be irreversible.
Use perception to make discoveries
Nothing stands still in this world, and every corner can hold new secrets. Remember to activate your Perception (right-click) wherever you go. The world is constantly changing, and what was there before may be completely different from today’s reality.
Perception will not only help you find your next quest but also uncover hidden details and treasures. Pay attention to the red glowing stars that appear in the air – they are the key to new interesting objects and memories. Stay attentive and follow the light, because that’s where the real discoveries are hidden.
Beyond the main plot: Hunt for side quests
While you’re following the main plot, don’t forget the importance of side quests. They may seem insignificant at first glance, but they are the very quests that can give you an edge on the long journey. Side quests are not only an opportunity for extra experience, but also a way to uncover new stories and secrets of the world that would otherwise remain hidden.
Don’t forget to check your journal regularly (press J) to make sure you’re not missing anything important. Side quests are marked with a white clock next to their name, and this is a sign that there is limited time to complete them. So if something interests you, don’t waste time – get to the quest before it’s too late. Eventually, these quests may disappear, leaving you without the opportunity to experience the full range of adventure and discovery that you’re about to discover.
Develop the four dimensions
In this game, every action, every decision, every skill point all affect your immersion in the world of Thaumaturgy. Your mind is divided into four components: heart, brain, hands, and tongue. Invest your skill points in each of these dimensions to unlock their power and achieve true mastery.
But remember, there is no room for one-sided development in this game. Develop in all dimensions to succeed. To read trails, unlock secrets, and unlock new dialog options, you need to possess several aspects of dimensional power. Without them, you may miss key moments and even find yourself at a dead end.
Also, don’t forget that variety is key. Stick to more than one path and your skill set will be much richer. The more variety in your arsenal of improvements, the more opportunities open up to you.
Mark your progress in each dimension, and your understanding of the world will become deeper. After all, each skill point also adds knowledge, which helps you discover new aspects through perception. Develop comprehensively, and the world of The Thaumaturge will reveal its secrets and possibilities to you.
Enhance the effectiveness of your attacks
Your power in The Thaumaturge depends not only on your spatial abilities but also on your ability to use your attacks and their enhancements correctly. Each enhancement gives your attacks extra power, but you need to assign them in advance.
Remember to assign enhancements to your attacks before the battle begins so that they can reach their full potential. If you suddenly find yourself in a fight, select “Improve Enchantment” and prepare your attacks for battle.
It’s important to choose your enhancements wisely. You don’t want to spend them on attacks that don’t do much damage. Remember to be sensible: add enhancements to those attacks that can maximize their potential. This will help you maximize your effectiveness in battle and overcome any opponents.
Destructive Salutors for Victory
A key strategy in every battle is to quickly weaken your enemy. Identify your enemy’s attributes by the symbol to the left of their health bar and act accordingly. For example, the shield symbol reduces the damage they receive, while the helmet symbol makes the enemy immune to new statuses.
End these attributes by attacking the enemy with a specific Salutor. Choose the appropriate Salutor, paying attention to its name in the attribute information and the green star when selecting it. Strike and the attribute will be canceled, weakening the opponent and opening the path to victory.
Don’t be sad about battles and leave save points behind
Battles can be a real challenge in the world of Thaumaturgy but don’t worry if you get stuck at some point. There is always a way out of any situation. If a battle seems too difficult, don’t be afraid to change the difficulty level – your enjoyment of the game is more important than anything else.
Also, remember that battles don’t change based on your progress. This means that if you return to a fight that seemed insurmountable before, but you’ve gained new skills or picked up allies over time, your enemies won’t get stronger. Use this knowledge to your advantage – go scouting, earn experience, and improve your skills before returning to the fight.
Don’t hesitate to make regular saves – this will help you avoid unnecessary losses and ensure you can return to a point where you feel more confident. Stay calm, strategize, and remember: every battle has a path to victory if you’re willing to look for it.
